ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT
This document was written by the studio to describe how it actually operates. It is provided for general information, it is not legal advice, and no attorney review is claimed. The summaries marked "In plain terms" are for convenience only; the full text of each section controls.
IN PLAIN TERMS
We sort cookies and similar technologies into four groups: Necessary, Functional, Analytics, and Marketing. Necessary is always on so the site works and stays secure. The other three stay off until you allow them, you can change your choices any time from the footer, and we honor Global Privacy Control.
1 — What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Multiverse Works LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on multiversalpolymathcreative.com, such as browser local storage and pixels, and how you control them. Multiverse Works LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company formed in Wyoming, USA. We operate from 547 NE Eliason St, Poulsbo, WA 98370, USA. This policy works alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.
Cookies and similar technologies are small pieces of data stored in your browser. Some are needed for the site to function. Others are optional and run only if you allow their category. We do not use pre-checked boxes for optional categories where opt-in consent is required, and Reject all is as easy to use as Accept all.
2 — The four categories
We manage cookies and similar technologies through a first-party consent tool that uses four categories. We use the same category names in this policy, in the consent tool, and in our records.
| Category | Purpose | Default | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Core site operation, security, fraud and abuse prevention, and remembering your consent choice | Always on | No. These are required for the site to work. |
| Functional | Optional support, preference, accessibility, and error-diagnostic features such as live chat and error monitoring | Off until you allow it in opt-in regions | Yes, from Cookie Settings |
| Analytics | Optional measurement of traffic and site performance | Off until you allow it in opt-in regions | Yes, from Cookie Settings |
| Marketing | Optional advertising, attribution, retargeting, and review or social-proof widgets | Off until you allow it; forced off when Global Privacy Control is present | Yes, from Cookie Settings or Your Privacy Choices |
3 — Cookies and technologies we use
The table below lists the tools that may run on the site, grouped by category. A tool operates only when its category is allowed and only if it has been configured for the site. When a category is off, its tools are blocked before they load. We do not add advertising pixels, review widgets, chat, analytics, or monitoring directly into the page.
| Tool | Category | Purpose | Duration | When active |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Consent record (multiverse_works_consent_v1, multiverse_works_anon_v1) | Necessary | Saves your cookie choices and an anonymous consent ID in your browser | 13 months | Always active |
| Security and bot protection | Necessary | Protects forms and the site from abuse and fraud | Session, or as long as needed for the request | Active when needed |
| Support chat | Functional | Runs live customer-support chat | Session / provider default, typically up to 13 months | Active when Functional is allowed and a chat tool is configured |
| Error monitoring | Functional | Reports browser errors so we can fix them | Session / provider default | Active when Functional is allowed and monitoring is configured |
| Google Maps embed | Functional | Shows the studio location on an interactive map | Provider default (Google) | Loads only when you choose "Load the interactive map" on the contact page |
| Web / product analytics (for example GA4) | Analytics | Measures traffic, performance, and how the site is used | Up to 14 months | Active when Analytics is allowed and an analytics ID is configured |
| Advertising pixels (for example Meta Pixel, Google Ads) | Marketing | Advertising measurement, attribution, and retargeting | Up to 13 months | Active when Marketing is allowed, no GPC signal is present, and a pixel is configured |
| Review and testimonial widgets | Marketing | Displays or collects reviews and social proof | Session / provider default | Active when Marketing is allowed and a widget is configured |
The "for example" names in the table are category illustrations of the kinds of tools the consent system can load. A named tool runs only if it has been configured. We do not load a tool just because it appears as an example here.
4 — How we ask for consent
Your experience depends on where you are. In regions that require opt-in consent, such as the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil, and Quebec, non-essential categories stay off until you choose to allow them, and we show a consent banner. In other regions, some categories may be on by default, and you can turn them off at any time. If we cannot confidently determine your region, we use the stricter opt-in setting.
The banner offers Accept all, Reject all, and Manage choices. Manage choices lets you turn Functional, Analytics, and Marketing on or off individually before you save.
5 — Advertising signals
When advertising tools are present, we use Google Consent Mode to communicate your choice. If Marketing is off, or a Global Privacy Control signal is present, the advertising signals ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization are set to denied, and advertising pixels and conversion events are suppressed. Security storage stays granted so the site remains protected.
6 — Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When your browser or extension sends GPC, the Marketing category is turned off and locked for that browser, which opts you out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. Necessary stays on, and Functional and Analytics follow the default for your region.
7 — Managing your choices
You can change your choices at any time using the controls in the site footer:
- Cookie Settings opens the preferences panel where you can turn Functional, Analytics, and Marketing on or off and save your choice.
- Your Privacy Choices opens the Marketing section directly, so you can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. This is our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control.
You can also manage or clear cookies through your browser settings. If you clear your browser storage, your saved choice is removed, and we will ask again where consent is required.
8 — Consent records
When you make or update a choice, we keep a limited record for audit purposes, which may include the categories you allowed, the consent-tool version, your general region, and an anonymous consent ID. This record is not used to identify you personally or for advertising. We retain it for 13 months and then delete or de-identify it, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9 — Changes and contact
